Dutch East Indies colonial government realized that the Malay language can be used to assist the civil administration for native command of the language as native Dutch officials considered weak. By relying on the Malay Height (because it has reference books) number of Dutch scholars began to engage in language standardization. Promotions Malay was carried out in schools and supported by the publication of literary works in Malay. As a result of this choice it becomes "embryo" Indonesian language slowly began to separate from the original form of Malay Riau-Johor.
