Mathematics (from Greek: μαθηματικά - Mathematica) is a study of the amount, structure, space, and change. The mathematician looking for patterns, [2] [3] formulate new conjectures, and establish truth by rigid deduction from axioms and definitions coincide. [4]
There is disagreement about whether mathematical objects such as numbers and points are present naturally, or just man-made. A mathematician Benjamin Peirce called mathematics as "the science that describes the important conclusions". [5] On the other hand, Albert Einstein stated that "as far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain, and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality. "[6]
Through the use of abstraction and logical reasoning, mathematics evolved from counting, calculation, measurement, and systematic assessment of the wake and the movement of physical objects. Practical mathematics has been a human activity as written records exist. Rigorous arguments first appeared in Greek mathematics, most notably in Euclid, Elements.
Math is always evolving, for example in China in 300 BC, in India in the year 100 AD, and in Arabic in 800 AD, until the Renaissance, when new findings math interacting with new scientific discoveries led to a rapid increase in the pace of discovery mathematics that continues today. [7]
Today, mathematics is used throughout the world as an essential tool in many fields, including natural science, engineering, medicine / medical, and social sciences such as economics and psychology. Applied mathematics, the branch of mathematics that covers the application of mathematical knowledge to other fields, inspires and makes use of new mathematical findings, and sometimes lead to the development of the disciplines are entirely new, such as statistics and game theory.
The mathematician also wrestled in pure mathematics, or mathematics for the development of mathematics itself, without having any application in mind, although practical applications for what began as pure mathematics are often discovered. [8]
